Welcome Little One

It's finally Friday, yeah, this week has dragged on long enough and I'm ready for a long weekend.  I have a new card because it's time for another challenge and this one is for the Kitty Bee Challenge. This week the challenge is "Babies."  I have colored this cute "Sleeping Lady Bug" with my Copics and mounted her on a frame cut using a Stampin Up die.  Then layered on 4 layers of red and white card stock.  One layer of white has been cute using Martha Stewart around the page punches.  Then some flowers were added in the corners with pine sprigs also cut using a Martha Stewart punch and the Welcome Little Lady sentiment, making this a great and different card for a new baby.

Yee-Haa!

It's time for a new challenge at QKR Stampede and this week the challenge is "Kick Up Your Heels" using an image from the Horse and Donkey category.  I have use the 'Pony Express' image and colored it with Copics and added some printed chipboard elements and twine to look like a lasso and be a frame, all from my stash, to the several layers of papers; one of which I stamped on to look like a letter.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges...  Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Happy Labor Day

It's time for a new challenge at Sassy Studio designs and this week we are celebrating Labor Day.  I have used "Copper Christie" and colored her with Copics.  I have added die cuts from Spellbinders and Marianne Designs.   The sentiment is punched using a Stampin Up punch and I added roses,  a bow, and pine sprigs punched with a Martha Stewart punch.  I let the designer paper help me with my color choices.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges...  Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Fireman

It's Monday again and time for a new challenge at Tammy's Scrappin Corner.  Where has this summer gone?  This week it's "Anything Goes" and the sponsors are Bugaboo Digi Stamps and Meljen's Stamps.  I have used the Kidlet Fireman and colored it first with Copics and then added colored pencils for a deeper color.  I used a key die cut from Susan's custom Dies, and a die cut from Stampin' Up and tied a bow.  I think of firemen in all red just like the fire truck but after I finished my granddaughter told me I colored it wrong.

She said when she went to the fire station for a tour the firemen were wearing red hats and yellow jackets.  So she colored one using colored pencils for me to see and then she did a card also.  I did the blending with Gamol, and the cutting for her, and she put the card together.  She loves to use the die cutting machine and I think she did an awesome job.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.  I think I will enter my card in the following challenges....

Come Sail Away

Just a quick post today, the new challenge at QKR Stampede is "Anything Goes" and I have used this great digi21705 Ship and printed it out twice in different sizes and mounted it on layers of black cardstock.  I was going for a CAS/layered look but I'm not thrilled with the outcome, and the photo just wouldn't come out right either.  I guess it just wasn't my day, but it could be your day... Stop over at the QKR Stampede Shop and find the coupon that is posted there and you can use it when your at one of the upcoming conventions.

Stop over at QKR Stampede and see the great cards the DT has created.  Thanks for looking and have a great day.

It's time for a new challege at Sassy Studio Designs and this week the theme is ATC.  I have used Charlotte Sassy and colored her with Copics.  The picture is enlarged to see it better but the actual size is 2.5 x 3.5.  I added some bakers twine around the edges and a rusty star in the corner.  I added some dimensional glaze on her eyes to give her a little twinkle.

I will be entering this ATC in the following challenges.  Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Got Chocolate?

It's time for a new challenge at QKR Stampede and this week the theme is "Don't Bug Me."  I have used this cute "Roasting Marshmallows" image and of course it's colored with Copics.  I used the Apothecary Dies from Stampin' Up to cut out the image doing an out of the box technique and also the red background. Then a flourish die from Marianne Designs was used for some fun embellishments.  A folded paper starburst with a button and a computer generated sentiment finish it off.

Cinderella

It's time for a new challenge at Sassy Studio Designs and this week the challenge is "Summer Reading."  Most of the books that get read at this house are Westerns by my husband and Children's by me and the grandchildren, and we recently read Cinderella.  So I have used this gorgeous Cinderella Image and colored her with Copics and just a touch of Diamond Dust Stickles on her shoes and gloves because every princess should sparkle.  I have added lots of die cuts on this card since they are one of my favorite things. The butterflies are cut from Cheery Lynn Dies.  The swirls and lace background are cut from Marianne Designs Dies.  I added some shimmery brads and a bow and I am quite pleased with how this birthday card turned out.

Stop over at SSD and see what the rest of the DT has created and join in our challenge.  I will be entering this card in the following challenges.  Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Fishing

It's time for a new challenge at Tammy's Scrapin Corner and this week the challenge is Sports.  The sponsor this week is SK Digis and I have combined two of her images to make a 3 dimensional card.  I have colored the "Fish" and fussy cut it out, and also colored the background using "Coral Reef 1" image.  Then colored and cut out just the seaweed from the Coral Reef 1 image again.  Mounted everything on a couple layers of card stock and rounded the corners for a softer feel and used a Spellbinders die for a  couple layers.  Then I went digging in my son's fishing box and found a small fish hook and just a little bit of fishing line.

I will be entering the following challenges.  Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Splish Splash Happy Birthday

It's time for a new challenge at QKR Stampede and this week the challenge is Anything but Square.  I have used the Making Bubbles image and colored with Copics.  I used a circle for my card and an EK Success punch for the doily looking shapes. Several layers of card stock in pink gray and black, some sheer pink ribbon and some roses make up this card.  I am pleased with the outcome but I think I do prefer the standard rectangle shaped cards.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Hippity Hopppity

Just a reminder that there is still time to enter the Back to School challenge at Kitty Bee Designs. I have another card for inspiration using this cute frog image from Kitty Bee Designs. Colored with Copics, used a couple layers of paper, a huge flower and a button.  I have a back to school card for the teacher.

I forgot to take a pic of the inside, that reads "So hoppy to meet my new teacher."  Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Welcome to the Sassy Studio Designs and Corrosive Challenges Joint Hop.  The theme is also a combination; so make a birthday project with a number and an 80's theme.  If you didn't arrive here from Julie's blog you should start at the beginning (SSD Site) and see all of the great inspiration.  I have used the Rainbow Brite image and colored her with Copics, added several colorful papers, some felt daisies, and shipboard numbers.  My daughter turns thirty in 2 weeks and since she went and told everyone in town I was turning 30 (several years ago) I now have the opportunity to tell the whole world she is turning 30.  She had a Rainbow Brite birthday when she was 6 and now she can have the grown up version too.

Before hopping off to your next stop which is Debora, make sure to leave a comment to have a chance to wind this great Rainbow Brite image.  And of course there are other ways to win images and all of that info is listed on the SSD Site.  Thanks for looking and have a great day.  The hop list is posted below just in case you want to go that route.

Summer Fun

Today is the start of a new challenge at QKR Stampede and this week the challenge is Summer Fun.  I had fun coloring this cute image and I did a little recycling with the Time's running out pink paper; it is actually from some junk mail.  It was laying on the table when I was trying to decide what I wanted to do with this image and I just had to use it.  I added a few foam flowers and some gems for bling, to go along with her lovely pink manicure.

I will be entering the following challenges...  Thanks for looking and have a  great day.

It's time for a new challenge at Sassy Studio Design and this week the challenge is "Vacation."  I have used this gorgeous Sassy Sarong image and of course she is colored with Copics.  I have added this great flower from Petaloo, seashells cut from designer papers from my stash, and a quick bow.  The top paper is a left over from a die cut and the greeting is punched & layered using a Stampin' Up punch.  This one definitely makes me long for a beach vacation.  I love collecting seashells at the beach.
